We were blown out yesterday but today it slick calm out there today. We started the day with a couple single tunas and then a double. The tunas were everywhere today but just not biting well. We were lucky and caught a few more singles and then the tunas shut off. So we decided to try to catch them deep by jigging and we caught two real quick. Then we hit a big school of 50 pound tunas. They slammed us and we had 7 on at once. We got 5 of those tunas which gave us 12 tunas for the day 500 pounds of tuna. It was now 1:00 and they said they had enough so we headed on in. They gave us 4 of the tunas so it looks like fresh tuna for us for the rest of the week. Thanks guys We are booked up the rest of this week but we still have a few days open next week. Left the fishing grounds at noon with a box full of tunas and 5 happy people. We started out the day north of the tunas and after hearing about some tuna jumping 8 miles south of us we fished down to them. On the way down we had a few tuna bites and caught 1 about 50 pounds. As soon as we got there we caught another and lost about 3 more. Then they smashed us. Nine rods bending over at once big 55 pound tunas hitting everything teasers and all. Our party did a great job and caught 6 out of nine at once. Then the schools of tunas went deep and we caught 3 more single tuna by jigging them down deep. Now it was noon and we had 11 tunas and 1 gaffer dolphin in the box with well over 500 pounds of fish to take home. With 5 tired people we decided to call it a day and go on in. We have only tomorrow and saturday left open this week. 252 2558037

The ocean was like a lake today offshore. Our party today said they wanted tunas so we went straight to the tunas and did not stop on a nice grass line on the way out where their was pleanty of dolphin. It did not take long until we caught our first tuna. We were marking the tunas all over the place and we were by ourselves. Then another single out of a couple bites. Then we caught a triple. Then here came the boats charter boat and comersial boats. Once the stick boats got there the tunas got spooked and we only caught a few more. If there had been some wind we could have caught some on the kite but there was no wind. There was alot of tunas there and not biting. We now had caught 8 tunas 7 big ones and one small one.It was 11:30 and our party asked if we could go catch something else so we went back inshore 10 miles to where the grass and dolphin were on the way out in the morning. The grass was not there anymore it was all over the place spread out so there was not many dolphin there. We caught about 12 dolphin and called it a day. We hope the wind picks up tomorrow so we can fly the kite for the tunas.

Great day to be fishing in the outerbanks. It was a nice sunny day with no wind the ocean looked like a lake this afternoon. We asked our party in the morning what they wanted to fish for and they said that they did not care that they just wanted fish in the box so we went for the sure thing which has been the dolphin. It took us until 11:00 to get our 60 dolphin. The dolphin today were all sizes again but they averaged a pretty good size today. They had over 350 pounds of dolphin to take home. Then they said that they wanted to try to get something big so we went marlin fishing because the tuna fishing was 35 miles above where we were. It took 10 minutes and we had a white marlin come up on our big bait and we pulled it away and gave him a drop back on a dink bait. After a 10 minute battle we got some great pictures of the marlin layed up beside the boat before we released him. What a great ending to the day. Tomorrow our party wants Tuna so we will go right to where they live. Today tuna fishing was awsome with some limits. It was the first day in a while that the tunas were hungry

The dolphin today were all sizes with some bailers and some big gaffers. We did not find any big schools but we picked at them all morning until we had our 60 dolphin limit. We also caught a king about 12 pounds. The guys that went tuna fishing caught 1 to 10 tunas.

Today we had a four boat group of doctors from virginia. Because it was a four boat group we all had to fish together so it was decided to go to the northeast and look for a tuna. We wanted to go south because the dolphin have been close to a sure thing but we could not. We first thing had a nice size Mako shark eat our big bait and jump five feet in the air but then he pulled off. Then a little later we caught a nice size tuna. After that it was very slow for several hours and then we got another tuna. The 7 boats that fished up there had only one or two fish. The boats that went south dolphin fishing did great again so we will be going back south tommarrow mad at the fish and ready to fill the box

Dolphin today on the dreamgirl! We caught 40 dolphin of mixed sizes and then went to try to get a marlin. Finally at 2:15 we had a blue marlin come up on our teaser. It went around to a couple different baits then ate a big bait on an 80 and was hooked up for a few seconds before it got off. Man I wish it would have stayed on. It was a pretty bite. A few boats went exploring up to the northeast and had some great tuna catches. We will ask our people what they want in the morning tunas or marlin dolphin. We have a few days still open this month. 252 2558037

Great dolphin fishing again today! 60 nice dolphin iced in the fish box. The dolphin were everywhere on a beautiful grass line but the birds were really bad and they were eating our baits before the dolphin could eat the bait but because of our great anglers we were able to get out limit. Then we went tuna fishing and had 4 tuna bites and caught 1 nice 50 pound tuna. There was no wind today so we could not put our kite up. We were marking the tunas good but they were not biting. Tomarrow we are going to trick them with our kite if we can get some wind.

The wind finally stopped blowing today. We were blown out the last four days because of the winds.Today we were excited to get back out and see if the tunas were still biting and in the same spots that they were before the blow. When we got out there the gulfstream color change looked awsome. We had mahi-mahi (dolphin) swimming in behind the boat everywhere. There were mixed size dolphin some big gaffers and some bailers. We caught our limit of 60 dolphin and then went to look for a tuna. We marked some on the fishfinder but they were little deep and did not want to bite. The fleet spread out for thirty miles to locate the tunas but there was not much luck finding them today maybe tomarrow. We are all booked up this week but we have a couple days still open next week. 252 2558037

Great day of dolphin fishing on the dreamgirl! We decided to go dolphin fishing today and what a great morning of big gaffer dolphin and then some bailer dolphin later in the morning. We caught dolphin of fly rods and lite tackle. It was neat to see our customer catching those dolphin on his 8 weight fly rod. The dolphin were jumping everywhere. We caught 40 of mixed sizes and they decided by 11 they had enough dolphin. Some boats stayed all day tuna fishing and did not catch much at all. The tunas were jumping but they still were not biting. Maybe tomarrow things will change and they will bite

The tunas were located this afternoon by a couple boats exploring up to our northeast. With fishing being slower the last few days on the tunas to our south not biting well our friends on a private boat found a big group of hungry tunas northeast. We will be racing up there early in the morning. We fished today south and caught some gaffer dolphin and one out of two Wahoos. One of our dolphin was caught on our kite. Here is a picture from our friends private boat catch.
